Jay Kimble -- The Dev Theologian

Philosophizing about the .Net religion

Hire a good coder...

This is my attempt at trying to get a couple of people a new job.

Dave Balzer
The first is my best friend Dave.  Dave has been programming professionally for about 5 years.  He and I have known each other for close to 15 years.  He is the inspiration for my Adventures in OOP where I got him a little more up to speed with OOP techniques in VB.Net.  I also mentored/taught Dave shaping him as a programmer for a bit.  About 1-2 years ago (??), Dave moved back to our native Ohio to be nearer to his family.  He also set out to become an independent consultant, and it worked for awhile.  He has primarily been doing html web app development, so he definitely has a portfolio that I can point you to.

He told me in an email earlier today that he's going to take a factory job on midnights because he's having trouble meeting his bills because he's having problems collecting (You Know Who You Are)... treat him better both of you or I'll post your links!   Anyway, Dave is a great worker, a good learner, and would be a great asset on anyone's team!  I'm not exactly sure of Dave's address/city, but I know he's near Cleveland, Oh (are you reading this Mr. Wise?  Do you guys have positions?)... definitely NorthEastern Ohio...  Dave would definitely be interested in contract positions that pay him money now.  He will telecommute anywhere provided he can start collecting a paycheck (get the picture)... Contact me and I will put you in contact with Dave.

And the next one...

Hire the Dev Theologian
Yep, that's right.  I have decided that I'm very interested in testing the waters.  I live in Dunedin, Fl which is just north of Clearwater.  I would be interested in jobs in North West Tampa, in Clearwater, or via telecommute anywhere.  I have code samples throughout my 1 year of blogging that I would be more than happy to point you to.  I have about 11 years experience primarily in VB, but I'm starting to do a little more C# lately.  In recent years I've done Intranet Development (meaning that I done more than just shopping carts), but I started out as a Windows Developer... Contact me and I'll tell ya all about my experience.

BTW, this is an experiment... I want to see if I actually get job offers...[so I'm putting it on the CodeBetter home page]
